Insert key in lock and turn counterclockwise. Apply downward pressure on top of the safe, while pushing the latch in to release. NOTE: Due to compression of the gasket, the unit will require slightly more force than a safe that does not have a gasket. Close and press down on lid to engage latch. Safe can now be transported without locking it. Pull up from bottom of latch while pushing down on lid to release. Close and while pushing down on the lid, press down on the latch until it is secure.
